I wanted to adopt him by the end of the bookThis was our book club pick for JulyThe author is trying to take a weak, cowardly character and make them interesting through an injection of the supernaturalFred managed to do all three, and when he woke up as a vampire, he did so as a boring oneI just figured that they werent something I would enjoy and that my mind would wander and I would miss things as I was listeningThe storyline has a lot of potential but it was a struggle for me to read because I found all but the last chapter or two to be completely predictableEven as a fan of the classic suave blood lusting vampires this twist is a fun and very entertaining
